apparently not in my comfort zone. so so so sad about that. lol i’ve been happily sitting in my comfort zone for a while, but i am missing the magic action. so here i venture out for a bit. if you’ve been following me you might have noticed that i am not on FB now. i left. i was going to take month off… it’s now been 5. lol so i declare 2012 to be FB free year. (apart from my bizz page which will still be up and running of course) 5 years of FB and i needed a break. so i’ve been hanging out on instagram, pinterest, ployvore, twitter, flickr, gmail, and blog, and will soon start to blog stalk. beware…

….

speaking of polyvore…

here is the first outfit i put together. one of my goals for this year is to not be fashion challenged. lol i am slowly making progress in my wardrobe. i have all the pieces of this outfit except the shirt and bummer it was all sold out except XS. the shoes i have are a bit different than these, they are green gingham, and 4 inches of heel i am learning to walk in more gracefully. haha.

i’ve been busy catching up on work i got behind on. April just sort of flew by, so here we are again with another living in the moment post! (;

we picked up a new lifestyle habit in April. oil pulling. the older girls and i have been doing it every morning before breakfast. i just bought coconut oil the other day and so far lexi and leah prefer it over the sunflower oil. if you have never heard of it, you should check out the link! amazing! i’ve been pulling now for a month and so far i’ve had immediate results with my sinuses. they cleared in 4 days! i can breathe now and that alone is worth it! i also started the kids on Blue Ice a few weeks ago. fermented cod liver oil, and so far the results are great, lexi’s hair is getting shiny and no longer tangling as much. they all take it, and i’m proud of them! not the most pleasant stuff to take! i of course am taking it too. have to set a good example. right? lol

the wee boy has been building the most amazing things out of lego lately. we bought him one of those sets that you make specific things out of, i think his was a fire truck, but his airplanes are way better! (;

started Cain on reading lessons last month. we are on lesson 13, he is doing great! attention span is not as long however, so some days we just get thru a half lesson. he is keen to learn which helps a lot!

it was a busy day. Cain finished skating lessons, and was happy to pass stage 1! we had an Easter party at the library and Gwinchy was the guest of honour!

baby girl is at the lovely time out stage. she is not a fan of them tho. lol miss lexi is washing dishes by hand, and no our dishwasher is not broken this time. lol i am so tired of the complaining at meals, so new rule, if they complain they have to wash the dishes by hand! “you get what you get and you don’t make a fuss.”
Dh replaced lola’s fav book, “love bug” it sings and lights up as you read the story. my all time fav book to read them is, “you are my i love you.” the lastly we turned out all the lights for Earth Hour.

one of my pinterest challenges was to document Lola’s 3rd birthday. as it turned out things don’t always go according to your plans. Dh was away on her birthday so we had decided to hold her party the next week. but still. i wanted to make the day special for her. the morning of her 3rd, i had no cake and no presents. ): on the spur of the moment i decided to take baby girl to the pool, her very first time. she loved it! we went birthday shopping afterwards. made a quick batch of cupcakes when we got home and had a little celebration. it doesn’t take much to keep them happy! (:

my days start out with some lola snuggles in bed. she smothers me in kisses and tells me she loves me so much. best way to start a day! (: of course she keeps me level, yesterday she told me she liked daddy more because i would not let her eat crackers all day. lol gotta love her!

miss lola learnt to use the computer mouse this past month! she absolutely LOVES starfall. the site is great because there are no advertisements on it, it helped so much for her to get the hang of using the mouse and not have to worry about accidentally clicking on an ad.

and of course, what is leap year without a few jumping shots. (;
