it’s not much wonder i am NOT inspired in the kitchen. this is what my recipes look like. they are all tossed in a green tote. a few years ago i signed up for ‘dine without whine.’ all those recipes i have printed in a binder, but they are not sorted and i can never find what i want! i’ve been trying to find something the past year to solve my recipe issues so that i can get organized.
i found this site on pinterest. My very own Cookbook. and i was SO inspired! i am SO in a cooking rut these days and i am hoping this little project will help me out of it and inspire me to finally get my recipes organized!
so that brings me to this post. i’m going to blog each month and share some of my favourite recipes that i’ve found, and also some pics that i will be taking for the cookbook. i’m pretty excited about this little project. my 4 little helpers will be thrilled as well. (:

i just wanted to start off the year with a heartfelt thank you to all my Clients of 2011. thank you so much for trusting me with the intimate details of your lives, and allowing me to document those special moments for you.

“Thank you so much, your post brought tears to my eyes and you have no idea how many times I went back and looked through your photos from that morning and cried, she is so different now, so much less baby, so for you to have captured her at that special time in our lives is priceless to me.”
i had to share that because it is so important to take time to document your life. when you are in the moment it’s easy to take it for granted. i find only when you look back do you truly see how each and every moment is so very precious. this is why i do what i do. <3

December was a crazy busy month. So i told my children, better late than never, and we made our Christmas cookies!
Lexi got her first Bunny in the Year of the Bunny! Gwinchy has joined our family last month! Lexi is over the moon happy! I must say, bunnies are a GREAT pet for children!! Gwinchy is a purebred Holland Lop Baby Bunny! He is very much loved!!
Baby girl has officially weaned herself from the baba! i couldn’t believe it! so i was SO glad that i got baba shots of her last month!
So, there is hope right? that baby girl will SELF TRAIN? she tells me she is not a big girl yet. lol so here is my baby girl being diaper changed, yet getting herself dressed. i will NOT be sad to be done of diapers! not. one. little. bit!
the wee boy is going to skating lessons! he is doing great! now skating on his own and getting up off the ice by himself too! he loves it now that he can do that much, but wasn’t a fan the first few weeks! lol

what a day it was! 13C for November was amazing!!! i took advantage and planted the tulip bulbs i was supposed to plant a month ago! Lola and i did some yard work, she was such a great lil helper!
eggs for breakfast. my helper for the day was Leah. we started a breakfast menu a week ago. the children were getting tired of oatmeal everyday, so we now do hot and cold cereal twice a week, eggs twice a week, and pancakes on Sunday! it’s been working out great so far! you should see the excitement on cold cereal mornings! lol
speaking of food, the can of zoodles and spiderman soup was a HIT! my children wouldn’t touch the stuff before. C seen a can of the spiderman when shopping and wanted it. i didn’t think they would eat it, i was wrong! it was so nice to pour supper out of a can! lol
the tree. last week leah’s hamster died and we buried him under the girls favourite apple tree.
lexi made me the book, all the ways she loves me. it made me laugh and cry! bless!
oh, my spur of the moment purchase, norfolk pine! i LOVE it! it is high maintenance tho. lol i hope i don’t kill it! (;
